Adriaan Vanderlugt has been an artist all his life,
with a working background in Graphic Design
and an art education based on self exploration and workshops.
He has persevered in a number of art forms; namely drawing, watercolour painting, furniture design, toy making
and sculpture. In the world of sculpture, he admits he was strongly influenced by the Canadian Inuit and the carvers of Zimbabwe.
Adriaan also enjoys teaching drawing, painting and sculpture to both children and adults.
In 2001, Adriaan was involved in the Whitsunday Centennial Celebrations by carving seven public Centenary of Federation sculptures in the Whitsunday Region.
