In 2007, Denise published her children’s storybook ‘WHERE RAINBOWS LIVE’

in which she illustrated the story with small quilts and the script embroidered onto linen. 

In 2008 the book won two International Awards, a Bronze in the Independent Publishers Book Awards and a Gold for a Spirit Award in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.
